I AM ALIVE! * MY 70th POST!!!!*

I know that y’all probably figured something happened to me….so I thought I would do a post to let you folks that I still am around : ) So here is what I have been up to:

I was at Still Waters Youth Camp for 5 (awesome) days and then I was at Believers Youth Camp for 3 (short) days.  I had a wonderful time at both camps and met a lot of new friends.
My “adventure” started off on the 19th of June, when Abigail and I hopped into Grandpa and Grandma's car with our cousin Kaitlyn---ok MAYBE it wasn’t that simple….
We drove for 10 llllooooonnngg hours till we finally reached our destination (Jeffersonville, Indiana). The Klopps took in us road-waifs and our entire trunk of luggage. We spent the night there, then in the morning we were on the road again and we drove out to SWYC, while our (fantastic) Grandparents drove on to AR for a wedding.
http://stillwaterscamp.org/blog?flags=photofeed ---You can see all of our camp day pictures here--
It was wonderful, but I won’t go into detail--because there would be totally to much to write about…. Suffice it to say that I cannot wait till next year; God Bless Bro. Joseph and all the workers @ SWYC : )
Next stop was BYC where (as I said before) we stayed for 3 very short days.
Papa preached in the “big” tabernacle 2 times and in the “older” tabernacle once, the services in the big tabernacle were great, but I was not there for the “older peoples service”….so, no comment there : )
Everything at camp was basically just like I remember it from last year and the year before that. I had a little more fun this year then past years though, I think. I was so sad to leave!!!! Here's hoping that I can go again next year : )
Mom and Bethany stayed home throughout all this--- and greeted us happily this morning when we woke up.
..sorry no pic..
Missed you all!!!!   Feels good to be back home~

Shalom,

A Evening of Fun~

Friday night we went over to Uncle Philips and Aunt Jody’s house for some delicious food and wonderful fellowship~ I know this post is a little late... but hey, life is busy :)

We arrived at 4 o’clock and were greeted by many happy faces! Then we started in on the food which was already out and waiting...
Yummy!
When we were full, us girls went and rode our bikes down to a fruit-stand close by to look for second strawberries…then the ladies walked a mile down and bought some, which were then put in the bike cart and taken home.
We walked around and talked awhile and then we played a game of kickball, what fun~ After that we talked some more and had dessert : )Then up to Kaitlyn’s room to read some books and listen to music!
Then it was time to go….we cried we-we-we all the way home…I had a awesome time, thank you Uncle Philip and Aunt Jody!

A Regular Morning in My Life~

Good Day! I thought I would do a post on my usual morning :)
7:00...I'm up- Mom has the milking things ready (thanks!) and I hike up those two mounds of earth to our barn; pictures~

The milk-stuff
Tyler saying hello-
Our mounds of dirt....
7:03, I let this little cutie out and she follows me around till I have her mom up in the stand. We are only milking Marshmallow right now, and it’s her first year so she doesn’t give that much.

Time to play Follow the Leader!

Grain~
Mmmm...This is yummy!

7:09…After I get Mocha and Cocoa situated, I go and take care of the chickens. Then I put Marshmallow up on the stand and lock Cocoa out.
7:21.... Marshmallow is all milked out and I let her out of the stand. Then I go get Billy Boy, we separate them at night time....
7:27; It takes me awhile but after a few falls I finally catch him~ I'm getting a lot better at this, yesterday it took me 20 minutes!
7:28... I feed the meat goats and give Sophia some hay.
7:40...The meat goats are done eating and I put Sophia back into the pen, we have to separate her because the market goat grain is not good for her.
7:41; I give all the animals water!

Meat Goat Grain.

The water pump

Everyone is up!

I bring in the milk to Mom and she strains it for me and puts it in a jar, then in the fridge.

Animal Update!

Hello folks!Well I'm back to post on the additions to our farmerret.
I guess I shall start off with the animals that take up a majority of our time...goats.

Our market projects are getting along well. We get out the goats and train them about 2-3 times a week *we should be doing this more*We go to 4-H meetings and showmanship classes now and then to renew our zest for this project! Here is a picture:
 --------------------------------------------------------------
This big guy is Billy Boy *I know, didn’t recognize him did you*. Yeah, he has grown a lot over the past few weeks...But he still has legs like toothpicks! I call him BB  because he is so shy he bolts away from us like a shot from a BB gun, and because of his name :) We need to work with BB to get him used to us humans; we will be selling him when he is old enough.

                                                         *PIX*

And this little doll is Mocha, she is Abigail’s new goat. Mocha’s mom (Cocoa) is not a good mom, she won’t let Mocha drink at all! So us girls have to put Cocoa up on the milking stand so Mocha can have her meals. Mocha has gotten very attached to us gals, she follows us around like a little puppy *I had such a hard time getting this picture*!  Isn’t she a cutie?!!?!
-----------------------------------------------------

A chick and 1 turkey did not survive chickhood. But the others are just fine!
Our chicks and the turkey...Well suffice it to say that its just like having a jungle bird soundtrack playing full blast and all the time :) I have made around 4 paper fans recently, we have to keep the house at 80 something degrees, and it gets rather hot around here. But they sure are cute! Whenever I feel very hot I just go over and look at those little popcorn-balls with legs.
*Awe*

Well thats all for now, talk to y'all later~

Peep - Tweet- Qua- PEEP!

Those are the sounds of the newly arrived add-ons to our farmerret...Yep, we got chicks and turkeys!!We decided that our other hens were getting to old and we needed to start a new flock and we also just wanted some turkeys for eating.

So Mom ordered them from Umbergers and they arrived today!!! (I hear them peeping in the corner)...
We (Mom & I) went over and picked them up this afternoon.

Hannah scooped out the chicks and stuck them in a box..

Some chicks in a box~

Then we went on to the check out with a bag of chick grower feed..

(@  the checkout)
Excited to get home! (I bent down to look into one of the "peep holes" and almost got my eye pecked out) (YIKES!)
Getting ready to move the chicks into their new home~

We are SO excited :)

We have 14 Hens (2 be)... 2 Cockrels, and 2 Turkeys!
The "hens" will be ready to lay in Oct :)

Farewell~

A New Addition to Our Trip!!!

Last week Lincolns goat had a buckling~We named him Billy Boy, he has the longest legs!
He's so CUTE! Marshmallow is so proud of her baby, he is always bouncing after her on his wobbly little legs.

He looks like he is smiling!

(my favorite picture!)

A proud Mommy~

Cocoa is going to have her baby sometime this week or next!!!
