Another Blogger in the Family!

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to keep y'all updated... My sister Abigail just got a blog! Awesome, huh?!?!!
She got really enthused when she learned that blogging counts some-what for school *smile*
It looks really neat and she is having fun setting it all up (I think)! She has already posted her first post, about our latest andventure: Picking peaches (it was a lot of fun!).

Fair Animals (and birds)!

There were a lot of animals, not to mention birds at the fair this year....Here are some different pix I took (I am making up for my last post!):

My favorite type of duck! It kinda looks like someone pasted a cotton-ball on her head :)

This one is a cute little Pygmy goat.

I thought that the myth was that ostrich's bury their heads in the sand...Not goats in their hay!

The LARGEST rooster I have ever seen! It took up its whole cage.

Fair Fun!

Fair Time!!!!! One of my favorite times of the year.
We entered a few things in the fair this year and won a some prizes.
My sister Abigail got first place in her ceramics class (she painted a turtle) and Lincoln (he painted a football on a stand) received second. My Mom placed some in her herbs, flowers, canning and cooking. Oh and she won quite a bit of money...I just had to add that!
I got second in my round basket and also in my square basket, my snicker-doodles (that I posted about) got second (I entered them in the cookie category "any other").
Really all in all for every one it was a awesome year of showing :)

I can't wait till next year when us kids will be showing some of our goats (Lord willing)!!
The fair is always so much fun! I think my favorite part of the fair is working in the fair Eatery, with other 4-h members (and sometimes their parents). I love to serve people and get their orders~Its much more fun then working at home *smile*.

I think Bethany's favorite part of the fair was the pigs...But the fair milkshakes rate right up there to. She was hilarious with the pigs! I posted a video of her and her piggys...but it is still not as funny as being there in real life!

Lincoln's favorite part of the fair is yet to come...Tonight, Tough Trucks @ 7:00. Papa and Him go together, almost every year. Its their little "bonding time". Watching trucks and other battered vehicle's go around a "dare-devil" track....While drinking a milkshake or eating fries!

Abigail really just "love's it all"...I share her feelings!

Field Trip to Little MountaiN Printing

Yesterday we moseyed over to the LMP for a little field trip because it was a free tour day. We met up with the Brandt gals :) It was a self led tour (which was nice), there were signs all over the place explaining how everything worked out and neat little facts.

The first place we went into was the designing room. It had little offices in split up in sections by "tiny" walls. From there we went into the printing room.

Does anyone know: that you can lick printing ink and it will not sitck to your tongue? It only sticks to dry surfaces!

All over there were stacks of paper...mostly white but there were some other colors of paper too :) There were all diffrent types of machines.

The machine that I liked the best was a huge paper cutter!

It was really amazing to watch it do its work!

All along the way there were freebies (I thought that was the neatest!). The tour was a lot of fun and very edu. :)

Lincoln!

My little brother Lincoln had a Birthday a little while ago (I am just now getting around to posting about it (yikes!)).
He turned nine, we had our Grandpa and Grandma Sanger over for supper.
Mom cooked a few of Lincolns favorite foods...Chicken, twice-baked potatoes, baked beans, grilled zucchini (ok, this is not really his favorite!), and salad. It was all very yummy.

For dessert we had a ice-cream cake from Friendly's. It had a race car on it.

Then he went and looked for his gifts using clues that we had made up...They were hidden all over the house. It was funny to see him looking all over, when it was right under his nose!

Mini Cakes!

Recently my cousin Kaitlyn S. lent me the American Girl Mag.
It was so much fun to read and I was so very inspired by the Wee Sweets section.

I decided to make a "Cutie Cake" which only called for:

Icing, a few Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, and some toppings.

First I put 2 cookies together with a dollop of icing and spread some icing around the sides of the 2 cookies:

Then I evened the icing out and put on some toppings on.

In this case the toppings I put on the top were chocolate chips.

Tada!!!!

I also made a three-tear cake.

For the top I used chocolate peanut chips.
