D is for Duct-tape!

There are so many interesting things you can do with duct-tape.  I've been really inspired by all the duct-tape things I’ve been seeing lately; More pacifically, duct-tape wallets!
...and so...
Because we had leftover color and pattern duct-tape from a recent Keepers @ Home meeting (click here to see)  I thought I would do a wallet, but one turned into 2 and (well, you know how it goes) !!!

My first one was made (okay, I tried) like one I had seen online, and it turned out VERY fat.

Here are some pictures:

I did a ID pocket with this one….

I also made it WAY 2 small, and if I had wanted to put credit cards (or in my case) gift-cards I would have had  to put them straight up and down :P
Just showing how fat it is  :)

I made this next one for a friend who is also into duct-tape!

Inside; look no ID pockets!

This next one I made for a friend who is also into duct-tape.

This one is: Camo & Black
You can see a little improvement (can’t you?). I made my own pattern for this one. (It’s probably been used before though)!
Well, of course I had to sign it   *smile*
                                                         My third was multi colored!
The outside, this one was pretty fat too.
Inside
My fourth *and my last (so far)*….my absolute favorite of all!  Zebra and Turquoise.

The inside! *This one is also my skinniest*

(See my little heart in the corner *just had to mention that*)...*in case you didn't see!*

Maybe sometime I will do a tutorial on “wallet making”…

Bye-bye,

My Deer!!!

I am still so excited! As most of you know I tagged out last Saturday evening.
Well anyways, I thought that y'all would like to hear my "huntin'" story :)

It was about 6:10pm when Papa tapped me on the arm. I froze looked and listened.
The deer came down in front of us but Papa couldn't get a good look at it (he was fogging up his binoculars!). She was about 30 yards (give or take) from us when he finally could see that it was a she... I put my cross-hairs* on her and pulled the trigger! She fell down right away and rolled over. *I was like "yes! I got her"  but then she was on her feet and up the hill.
When she was right in front of us (75 yards away, and up a hill). I got another shot at her, *I didn't think that I had got her*.  Papa got up and started scouting around up the hill where we had seen her last. He didn’t see anything!
---------------------------- about twenty min later.
We came around to Abigail and Joe as they were coming out of their trees.  And they started looking around as well. Uncle Eddie was also around there and he came over to help out.
*I am going to skip the parts about scouting and all that*
Joe  saw some eyes looking at him and it was a grey fox setting on her. He yelled to the rest of us that he had found it and we made our way up the hill.  My first shot was near her spine. And my second went through the heart (I just know that all of you wanted to hear that part )!!!
Here is a picture : )
Papa and Lincoln just went to pick up a 6-pointer roadkill that our policeman friend called us about! They should be home soon....

Farewell,

In the Woods...

Right now I am in my cozy house and I am setting here typing (bet you couldn’t guess that)! This morning at 5:15am I was getting ready to go hunting, and nothing was futher from my mind than a blog post!

Papa took Abigail and I hunting, by a dairy farm. Grandpa came as well, because us gals have to have a adult with us till we are 18.     Thanks Grandpa!

Abigail brought her crossbow and I brought my rifle. But, I didn’t have any bullets... they were at home on the freezer. Thankfully Ungeddy (as Bethany affectionately calls; Uncle Eddie), brought them when he came, whew!!!

At 7:something Papa and I were finally situated at the base of a tree! Yippee : )
Abigail and Grandpa were stationed up the hill quite a ways.
Then Uncle Eddie began to walk for us.

I sat down while Papa decided to stand. I grabbed a nearby branch and broke a little piece off. For awhile I just cleaned the bark off the poor limbs. BUT THEN!!!  I started making lil’ woodcarvings, with my nails (yeah, so talented)!

After a couple minutes I poked Papa in the arm…”Psst, can you guess what this is?

Um.......a stick of wood....? Nope, this is Lowly the Worm!                   (See the eyes and mouth?)

This is a giraffe! Papa: "really" .....me:  Papa it has spots!"......Papa: "wondered what those were"....
This is mouse!!! (you couldn't tell?) Doesn't he look scary :o

Those are only some of my creations. There were 2 other ones that I lost : (

The one was a woodpecker and the other was a wild pig/elephant, okay…maybe I couldn't figure out what it was…  Back to hunting.... We didn't see any deer this trip, only a few squirrels.
We came home at 9:00am, ‘cause it was getting really windy! We are going to go out tomorrow morning, wish us luck :[)

Blog Award!

Thank you Serenity for the blog award :) I love your blog too!

So I got a award…and I have to pass it on….but…to who?I had such a hard time deciding who it should go to. I really like a lot of blogs!

I finally decided on my dear friend:  Anna

I love your thought provoking and also your "funny" posts. You have such a verity!
In short -I LOVE YOUR BLOG!-
You are truly a beautiful example of what a Christian young lady should be. I am so glad I meet you and that you’re my friend (oh dear…I am getting teary-eyed)!

Just some past history:   Anna and I met at BYC camp and we have been close friends ever since.
It took us a year to figure out that we both had blogs….(but that’s another story)!
We both have similar interests and love posting on our blogs (but, I confess that I have not been very faithful lately!).  We each have younger siblings and both of us love to read.

Well, anyways here is your blog award:

and a picture of us!

This was taken many, many years ago !!!

Under Consideration...

I always feel that I have to change things because I get tired of seeing the same thing...
Right now it's my blog background :o

So don't worry folks, whatever you may see right now (I won't know what it is, because I change my mind a lot!) probably won't be there the next time you check in here... I may just go back to what I had in the first place ;)

...Anyways....wish me luck on my newest faze of bloggie strangeness and post a comment if you like whatca see :) (btw, make sure to tell me what it is)!!!! Thanks!

TTYL,

Zoë
