My Day~

My day started this morning when I woke up at 5:30 AM. Papa and I were going to deliver Onyx and Skylar (2 of our bucks born this year) to their future home.

SIGHT AND SOUND!!!

*note*---I had posted both sets of twins on craigslist last Friday and that night they had all already been sold! Our two doeling’s (Carmel and Eloise) went to a nice Mennonite family and we sold our two buckling’s to Sight and Sound.---

Anyways…Back on track! Papa and I drove to Sight and Sound, to drop off the two buckling’s. -I was so excited!- Papa drove back behind the buildings and under a tunnel (where some props were being made) to the barns. Then we meet up with Sherwood; (who is the animal director for Sight and Sound) and handed over the goats.

Then he took us on a personalized tour to see all the animals.

"Come on!" -Papa and Sherwood-
Our greeting choir!

Am I a Zebra?   -No, I'm not! Fooled you- (A girl who works here is really good with hair dying so she painted me with black stripes...I'm really a all white pony) (cool, huh?)
Mr. Donkey
"Well, Hello!"
A camel named Jericho...made the funniest sounds!
2 pot bellied pigs

A white Zebu Cow
and a black Zebu cow (they have humps on their backs!)
I remember seeing this big guy in a show before!
"Neigh"
There were so many other animals there, sorry there is not more pictures!
-(the stunk's, cats, rodents and other small animals are kept up in  the theater)-
Papa and Sherwood!
Sight and Sound!
The main doors~

After that, Papa and I left for his work (at a hospital)… I had a fun time “shadowing” him, and seeing him work! *I cannot post about this, because it would violate rules* Then we came home ate supper, and then we took 5 of our goats over to the Fair (which starts tomorrow)!
I have so many things to post about, so come back soon :)
Thanks for stopping by!

BYC 2012

The same day we arrived back home we left for another trip! This time it was to a camp in Ohio and we took the whole family along. We have been going to Believers Youth Camp [BYC] for quite a few years now and have always enjoyed ourselves. This year was no exception.

We arrived Sunday morning with just enough time to shower and get ready for service. Brother Paul Lafontaine spoke that morning and it was really great; God had already begun moving.
After service there was lunch and meeting up with old friends and making new ones. I got situated in my dorm and met my counselor and my “roomies”. My counselor for this year was Sister Tanya. She was wonderful! She had so many neat devotion ideas and really was someone you could go and talk to.
My roomies were: Sarah, Saron, Hannah, Jemmia and “Blondie”.
(Sorry… no picture) They were a lot of fun and we really had some great times.
Then I went and walked around “looking cool” (it was in the 90˚s) and talking with my friends.
That evening we had supper and then migrated into the tabernacle for the evening service. Bro. Darrel taught that evening and he did a great job! I really, really enjoyed it.
After that it was the mad dash to the Snack Shack… and then the night guards chased us into our dorms where we got ready for bed and had our devotions. Ahhh sleep! The first day was ended :)

I won’t go into a “detailed day by day”, but I will give you a short account of what was the “usual” day.

Meals were served 3 times a day and there were 2 services a day.

After Sunday we are split up into groups and the 13 and younger go to the Children’s Church, the 14 and older to the Tabernacle and the 18 and up (for morning services) go to a different location.

In between services volleyball, basketball, baseball, games are played. The Snack Shack is open certain hours during the day and after the evening service. The Choir gathers at about 3:45pm and sings every night. During the week other different activities are secluded like the hair clinic, skits.

Camp in short was awesome! I had a blast and am hoping to go again next year.

Oh, and thanks for putting up with my long posting delays….Now, for some pictures!!!
