While we were out in IL, Grandpa and Grandma took us fishing. It was a lot of fun! An Mr. Dick F. let us fish on his property. He also furnished the gators, some fishing rods, and life jackets. He owns 240 acres, and he has a lot of lakes and ponds on his land. There's also a lot of wooded areas! Papa calls it "prime hunting land". There were long fields of corn and we saw; 2 deer,1 coyote and a bunch of other little animals.
We had a great time, and would like to thank Mr. Dick F. for his generosity :)
We arrived the first day at about 2:20pm. It was really windy and cold *burr*
We loaded our fishing-gear into the gators and headed out to the lake for some fishing!
These Gator's were our ride out to the lake! Us girls got to set on the tailgate :)

I lost 2 bobbers (brand new), 4 hooks, and 2 weights that day :0
(Moral of the story; never take Zoe fishing).

Mom caught 1 small bass (that we had to throw back in) at this lake. It was so windy that our lines would fly back at us! Once my hook got in my hair :0 So, at about 5 o’clock we drove our gators to a different spot and started fishing. Lincoln caught a catfish almost right away! He was so proud of himself, *smile*.
We didn't even have to tell him to smile in this picture :) Doesn't he look cute!
A little while later Serenity caught a Crappie Bass (this picture was taken later, when we had finished fishing).
It was a really pretty fish! She was really pleased with it :)
Lincoln caught two more fish, I caught two, Abigail (sadly) lost three, and Grandma pulled in one. It was a very happy ending to our fishing day !!!

We got up early the next day and drove the 2 hours out to our fishing place. It was not windy and there was a little sunshine as well. So, we started off with the same lake as the day before.
After we had our hooks baited, we found our fishing spots.
Lincoln after a couple of min he caught a small fish. This fish kept bugging him…He caught it two more times!
Then I pulled in a little fishy, and later another tiny fish. We threw all these back in!
Serenity caught a smaller fish and Abigail caught a small fish as well. We had to keep it because its mouth was ripped.
I am not sure of all the other fish that we caught but I pulled in one “keeper” from this lake. It was a littler bass, but it was “keeper” still! I was excited :)

Bethany caught a really large Crappie Bass! It was 16inches, the IL record for Crappie Bass is 18inc!
She was really excited, but I think Papa was happier :)

Papa and Grandpa flayed all of the fish, and Grandma, Abigail and I packed it all in freezer bags.
We were really happy with all of our catches! That day Abigail caught 2, Serenity got 1 (I think it was only one)…Lincoln caught a few, Grandma caught a couple, Mom got some, and I caught some as well.Oh, by the way...I only lost 1 hook that day!!! *pat on back*
Thanks for taking us fishing Grandpa and Grandma, we love you both so much!
Also: thanks to Grandpa and Papa for all your work on our fishing hooks. We could not have done it without you two.
