Art Class...&...2 Cousins Come to Visit~

It all started when a hurricane came to visit …her name was Irene. Abigail posted about it here: (http://abigail-prairieprincess.blogspot.com/) .
One of the trees that fell in our yard fell in the front-yard. So Mom decided to make it into a ART CLASS!
We painted our sheets of paper with white paint. Then while we waited for it to dry… Mom read to us about;  Pierre Renoir (1841–1919). He was a French artist, who was a leading painter in the development of the Impressionist style.
Then we each had to pick a spot to paint.  I chose a chair on the front porch, Abigail sat down at the tree base… so she could sketch the roots. Lincoln was seated beneath  a umbrella of branches and Bethany picked a branch to set on. WE WERE READY (or were we?)!
By the time Mom came around taking pictures,  we were all thoroughly at a loss as to where to put our pencil next.
About 1 hr later we went to her and showed her our works of art.
Then we went over them with a paint brush...

I love the pictures you all painted. Tell you mom that was a great idea. She needs to do more homeschooling in that style. - Relaxed :)
