...An Arizona Adventure...

Then my Papa got a call. It was his cousin Daniel wondering if I wanted to go to Arizona… They had a discounted companion ticket, and didn't want it to go to waste. I said “yes, yes, yes!!!”, money exchanged hands the following night and it was all settled.

I was so surprised! It was amazing, considering the fact that it was one of the subjects I had been talking about just moments before. God is awesome J

The following month flew by in a blur, and before I knew it I was on my way to the sunny state of Arizona. We arrived a couple hours later, but our ride had been delayed by a flat tire. I played with some play-dough I had found in my purse (I have no idea where it came from), while Rebekah read a book and Daniel got some work done.

After getting picked up we stopped to get some lupper and then headed up to Dewey. I got dropped off at the Wallace’s (my cousins) and we parted ways.
The next day we rounded up the pigs and headed to Expo. I got to help wash a pig and assisted in the shaving! It was a blast J I enjoyed watching my cousin’s show their pigs, and getting to see how expo is done in the west! I even bought a turquoise pig whip…

On Sunday my little cousin Shalom was dedicated and I got to see and catch up with some of my Arizona friends.
Monday we headed up to Lake Knoll, for a camping trip. We stopped by the Mogollon Rim, and enjoyed the fantastic view. We took some pictures and us girls went flower picking. (Then I threw my bouquet over the edge and made a wish)

We traveled up the mountain and after 25 miles on a dirt road finally reached our destination!
We set up camp and ate lunch. Then we headed over to the lake. It was peaceful and serene. We did some canoeing and fishing. By the time darkness fell, our friends the McLearn’s had arrived and we enjoyed a supper by the campfire…

The next day Serenity and I were woken up by pine needles dropping on us. We were told that it was "too late to still be sleeping" (It was 7:20 am)! After a couple minutes of helpful persuasion we were sufficiently awake and during a pine-cone bombing made our escape to the bathrooms. When we finally came out, our friends had made their way to the lake. Then we enjoyed an uneventful breakfast of roasted marshmallows, yummy!

A group of us played Scattergories by the lake. I meet a chipmunk named “Chip” and canoed around an island. At lunch time we broke up camp and headed out. In the pouring rain we headed down the mountain, playing Scattergories. On the way “home” we saw a herd of bighorn sheep.

All too soon my trip was over. I packed my bags, said my good-byes and flew home...

If you haven’t already guessed this, I had an awesome trip J The Wallace’s made me feel at home, and I felt like one of the family... Daniel and Rebekah were the best traveling companions, and traveling with them was such fun!

I can’t wait to go out to Arizona again!  But, you know... it’s going to be pretty hard to top this vacation!
Now for the part you've been waiting for... the pictures!

Procrastinate: To (post)pone or delay needlessly

In my life, posting and unpacking are listed on the same priority line in my “things to procrastinate on” list. Very high!

Today I finally got my backpack unpacked from a youth group camping trip… (that ended last Sunday) You are probably thinking if it takes me that long to unpack from a two day excursion, how long does it take me to unpack from a week-long trip? (I’m not telling you!)

My luggage will get pushed to the corner and momentarily forgotten about (see picture below)… until someone reminds me of it! (it usually takes awhile for me to get the “hint”)

I think you might be getting the idea :) I am an experienced procrastinator.

I decided as I unpacked my pack today, that something needed to be done to commemorate such a monotonous milestone.
(That is why I'm posting!)
I hope you enjoy catching up on my life as you scroll through the following pictures. I've been having a busy Summer  :)
